Teddye Buchanan's rookie season is over after the talented linebacker was carted off early in the Ravens' Week 15 matchup against the Bengals at Paycor Stadium. Buchanan was forced to exit, and the Ravens brass initially feared he suffered a season-ending torn ACL.

A rookie fourth-round pick, Buchanan injured his right knee on punt coverage in the first quarter and was carted off to the locker room. He left the stadium using a cane.

Buchanan's season is over, and he's been placed on Injured Reserve.

Can confirm this as we reported yesterday. A tough blow for Teddye, a super young player who’d been rounding into form as a rookie https://t.co/bQuHIq1Geg

Buchanan would be the second defensive starter that Baltimore would lose for the season, joining Pro Bowl defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike, who suffered a season-ending neck injury in Week 2.

Buchanan has 91 tackles in the regular season with one forced fumble and one pass defended. With Buchanan out, Trenton Simpson will enter the lineup.
