Ravens director of football strategy/assistant quarterbacks coach Daniel Stern is leaving Baltimore to accept a job with the Seattle Seahawks, potentially as their pass-game strategist, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Friday.
Stern just completed his 10th season with the Ravens and his second as the organization's director of football strategy/assistant quarterbacks coach. In his job as assistant quarterbacks coach, Stern's duties included assisting Tee Martin with the playbook, call sheet, opponent analysis, and self-scouting. Stern was also responsible for scripting situational periods of practice and advising head coach John Harbaugh on in-game clock/game management and coaches' challenges.
In his role of Director of Football Strategy, Stern's duties included studying game management, situational football, and the NFL playing rules/officiating, advising Harbaugh and the team in these areas.
