The NFL began rolling out its annual top 100 list this week, and several former Florida Gators can make a legitimate case for inclusion as the player-voted rankings are revealed. Two players were revealed Monday, and a pair will be announced each morning from June 22 until Aug. 21 — one top-10 player will be unveiled each weekday following, ending on Sept. 4.

The marquee name in this group of Florida alums is Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts. The 2021 No. 4 overall selection earned Second-Team All-Pro honors after the 2025 campaign after hauling in 88 receptions for 928 yards and five touchdowns. He was second only to Trey McBride in both receptions and yards.

Pitts' 166-yard, three-touchdown performance against the Buccaneers in Week 15 earned him the NFC Player of the Week title. The 2021 pro-bowler was ranked No. 91 in the 2022 top 100 list, but one can anticipate Pitts to rise into the top 40 as the votes come in.

Newly acquired edge rusher Jonathan Greenard should also land firmly in the Top 100 conversation after his trade from Minnesota to Philadelphia in April. The 2019 First-Team All-SEC selection with the Gators was slated at No. 48 on last year's list after a breakout 2024 season that saw him record 12 sacks and continues to be regarded as one of the league's best pass rushers. Expect the 2020 third-round draft pick to come in No. 75 or higher.

Other former Gators with a chance to narrowly make the list include Buffalo Bills guard O'Cyrus Torrence and Chicago Bears defensive tackle Gervon Dexter Sr. Just outside the rankings but poised for a surge is San Francisco 49ers receiver Ricky Pearsall. The 2024 first-round draft pick enters his third season with the 49ers, coming off a campaign where he caught 36 balls on 53 targets for 528 yards.
