As each day passes, the Pittsburgh Steelers continue to be on hold at the quarterback position. We hope Aaron Rodgers makes a decision in the coming days and the Steelers can head into the 2025 NFL draft knowing whether or not he will be on the roster in 2025. Having said that, Rodgers or no Rodgers, it's likely the Steelers will be drafting a quarterback. Here is our ranking of our five favorite prospects in the upcoming draft spaced out among all three days.

1 - Jaxson Dart - Ole Miss

If Rodgers doesn't sign, Dart is the most starter-ready of this bunch and would give the Steelers the best chance to win this season. His athleticism and mobility make him particularly relevant to today's NFL and his arm and confidence give him a very high ceiling.

2 - Jalen Milroe - Alabama

No quarterback in this draft has a higher ceiling than Jalen Milroe but he's also the biggest boom-or-bust prospect based on his high he will end up being drafted. Milroe is a safe pick in the second round but since the Steelers don't have one, it could mean he's their first-round option if Dart is gone.

3 - Will Howard - Ohio State

Moving to the third round, Will Howard is one of those guys who checks off a lot of boxes for what makes a modern NFL quarterback. He's got plus starter written all over him if he lands on the right team but his lack of success in college beyond last season hurts him.

4 - Brady Cook - Missouri

Similar to Howard, Brady Cook exploded onto the scene in 2024 and carried his Missouri team. Cook has a well-rounded skill set, exceptional decision-making and is another true dual-threat quarterback.

5 - Quinn Ewers - Texas

It's crazy to think Ewers was considered a first-round prospect back in August. 2024 was a nightmare season for the Texas quarterback but his ability to handle is like a consummate professional speaks volumes about his NFL potential.
