After losing rookie Eddie Walls III to season-ending injured reserve last week, the Los Angeles Rams are adding to their outside linebacker room. The team announced on Tuesday that it has signed former Giants outside linebacker Tomon Fox.

Fox entered the NFL as an undrafted rookie in 2022 out of North Carolina, signing with the Giants following the draft that year. In four seasons, he’s played 37 games and recorded 45 tackles, including two sacks and five tackles for a loss.

He started two games for the Giants over the last four seasons, landing four total hits on the quarterback in that span.

At North Carolina, he was a third-team All-ACC selection in 2021 and finished his career with 29.5 sacks, the third-most in school history.

Fox, 28, will now compete for a roster spot with the Rams this summer. After Myles Garrett, Byron Young and Josaiah Stewart, there is room on the depth chart. He’ll battle Desjuan Johnson and others for a spot on the team.
