Los Angeles Rams right guard Kevin Dotson has been one of the best guards in the league this season, receiving an 86.4 overall grade from Pro Football Focus, which ranks third among 81 qualified players at the position.
Unfortunately, Dotson missed the last three games due to an ankle injury suffered against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 16. On the same play that he was hurt, Seahawks linebacker Derick Hall also intentionally stepped on Dotson and was suspended one game for his actions.
Dotson was listed as a limited participant for the Rams' walkthrough on Wednesday and spoke to the media afterward, where he admitted to wanting to get back at Hall when the times right.
"Because I gave him the benefit of the doubt," Dotson said. "Because my teammates were like – I'm thinking he accidentally stepped on me, and I'm not going to make nothing out of it. And then I'd seen after the play, my dawg (center) Coleman (Shelton) fought for me, pushed for me, then he told me like what really happened and stuff like that. So I was like, OK, and if I would have knew that, I probably would have stood up. I didn't know somebody stepped on me and did all that until I had seen the film and stuff. But I would've knew that. ... I'm past it, I'm not going to hold nothing against him until I can see him (and) get my get-back. Not gonna step on nobody (though), I'll get it between the (whistles). But I'm fine, I'm fine."
The Rams are hoping to get Dotson back for the divisional matchup with the Chicago Bears this weekend, and his return should help solidify things up front for the Rams.
