The bread and butter of the Los Angeles Rams' draft prowess has come on the Day 3 of the NFL Draft. While the Rams sacrificed early-round picks in their pursuit of a Super Bowl, L.A. found diamonds in the rough all over the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh rounds.
FTN Fantasy ranked the Rams as the fifth-most successful team on Day 3 of the draft over the past 10 years. They've made 65 picks since 2015 who've played in 2,317 games for the Rams with three total Pro Bowls. While that's not a lot of accolades, you have to remember these are late-round picks that rarely stick around in the league, let alone one team.
But for the Rams, they've add highly impactful players in recent years. Puka Nacua in fifth-round in 2023 is the biggest, but 2022 was also incredible after the Rams added Cobie Durant in the fourth, Kyren Williams in the fifth and Quentin Lake in the sixth. Even Tyler Higbee, a 2016 fourth-rounder, is still the team's top tight end and heads into 2025 as a key offensive contributor.
There certainly have been a lot of busts, but that comes with the territory over Day 3 picks.
The Rams will make four of their eight picks on Day 3 of the 2025 NFL Draft — one in the fourth and three in the sixth round. While those could be used as bargaining chips to move up or add veterans, it's also another great opportunity to bring in low-risk, high-reward players that other franchises may have missed.
