The Los Angeles Rams have their sights on the offseason, and head coach Sean McVay recently held an end-of-season presser where he was asked about impending roster moves and coaching staff changes. Upon being asked about potential extensions for Puka Nacua, Byron Young, Kobie Turner and Steve Avila, McVay made it clear he'd love to see all of them donning the horns for years to come.

Ahead of the 2026 campaign, Nacua, Young, Turner and Avila are all entering the final year of their rookie contracts, making them eligible for extensions this offseason.

Getting extensions done ahead of time for players on their rookie contracts is typically good for business, so it shouldn't come as a shock that the Rams are keen on trying to get deals done for all four players. Nacua figures to become one of the highest-paid receivers in the NFL, while Young and Avila have developed into marquee players for the Rams. The same goes for Turner on the D-line.

Recently, ESPN's Dan Graziano forecasted what the contract extensions could look like for both Nacua and Young. While Graziano had Puka earning a four-year, $156 million deal, he had Young either getting the franchise tag or a four-year, $145 million contract -- whether it be from the Rams or another team.

When looking at potential extensions from a roster perspective, LA could prioritize Nacua and Avila at premier offensive positions. Meanwhile, what makes Young an interesting extension candidate is the fact that Turner is also eligible for an extension this offseason, and Jared Verse and Braden Fiske could be seeking new contracts next offseason.

The good news is that the NFL recently announced that the salary cap will see an increase of at least $22 million in 2026. Even though the Rams should have ample money to spend, they'll have plenty of decisions to make on notable players in the coming months.
