A.J. Brown has been at the center of trade talks this offseason after a rough year with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2025. Naturally, the always-aggressive Los Angeles Rams were among the teams interested in the star receiver.

There were several reports about their inquiries about Brown, even being one of two teams that were “making strong pushes” for him on the trade market.

During the owners meetings on Monday, Rams general manager Les Snead confirmed the Rams tried to trade for Brown, but it “didn’t work out.”

“We chatted with Philly, nothing worked out,” Snead said on PFT Live. “There were talks, we had discussions, didn’t work out. That happens.”

It sounds like the Rams are out of the running for Brown, particularly after Davante Adams’ $6 million roster bonus became guaranteed earlier this month. Had the Rams acquired Brown, they would’ve had to trade Adams, something Sean McVay confirmed himself on Monday.

The Rams talked to Adams about the possibility of moving him and kept him involved in the discussions, but the team ultimately decided to keep the veteran receiver instead of trading him after just one season.
