The Los Angeles Rams addressed a few needs in the 2025 NFL Draft, but only in terms of positional depth.

Tight end, inside linebacker and defensive line earned the biggest boosts, but L.A. left some major positions with holes heading into the 2025 season. More additions could be made before the year starts, though, either in trades or free agent pickups. The Rams also have an undrafted free agent class that could include a few contributors if they excel in training camp and the preseason.

Here are the top needs for the Rams following the 2025 NFL Draft.

Cornerback

Maybe the Rams liked their cornerback depth chart enough to neglect adding to it in the draft. Maybe none of their favorite prospects fell to them. Whatever the case is, L.A. will go into the 2025 season with the same group of cornerbacks they did in 2024, baring any major additions. That's not a good thing considering how poorly this unit ranked this past season.

Offensive line

The Rams didn't add any offensive linemen in the draft despite depth needs at tackle. Rob Havenstein is in the final year of his deal and will turn 32, meaning the Rams will have to find a right tackle of the future sooner rather than later. The rest of the offensive line has its starters but not much behind them.

Safety

The Rams have their two starters in Kam Curl and Kamren Kinchens, but not much behind them. Curl could also be on his way out after the 2026 season. L.A. would do well to add another safety who could start in a pinch.

Defensive end

Unless Jared Verse, Byron Young and 2025 third-rounder Josaiah Stewart count as defensive ends, the Rams don't have a lot of options besides Braden Fiske. The only other true defensive end is Desjuan Johnson, who was Mr. Irrelevant in 2023. Fifth-round pick Ty Hamilton could play defensive end if needed, but the Rams could still use some veteran depth at this position.
