The Arizona Cardinals closed out their 2025 NFL season with a 37-20 road loss to the Los Angeles Rams, capping a 3-14 season with their ninth consecutive loss. It was the seventh consecutive game in which the offense did not score more than 20 points.
As a unit, they gained 317 total yards.
What did we see offensively?
Needing 93 yards to reach 1,000 for the season, Wilson did that, catching five passes for 99 yards and a touchdown.
He missed a 100-yard game by a yard. His numbers would have been even better were it not for penalties. He had a 56-yard catch negated by offsetting penalties.
Brissett had 243 passing yards and two touchdown passes. It was the 10th time he had at least two touchdown passes. He also lost for the 11th time in 12 starts and turned the ball over twice, once getting stripped on a sack and once on an interception when he badly underthrew a wide-open Wilson.
The Cardinals failed to reach 100 rushing yards in a game for the seventh time in their final eight games, totaling 79 for the game. Of those 79, 33 game on two plays — an 18-yard run on third-and-26 by Emari Demercado and a 15-yard scramble by Brissett. They only attempted 12 runs with their running backs with Michael Carter leading with only seven carries.
Coming out of the second half, the Cardinals had two great offensive possessions, scoring touchdowns on drives of 73 and 76 yards, taking a 20-16 lead. However, they went three-and-out on their next two possessions in the fourth quarter for minus-8 yards, and the defense allowed three straight touchdowns. The Cardinals finished the game with a 47-yard garbage-time drive.
After a few games where the offensive line looked good and help up in pass protection, that was not the case against the Rams. Brissett was sacked six times and hit a total of 12 times.
