Football is a physical sport, but you aren't supposed to go at it against your own teammates. But, that's what happened during the Las Vegas Raiders' training camp on Friday, when quarterback Kirk Cousins and defensive end Maxx Crosby got into a fight.

What happened on Friday is that Crosby hit quarterback Kirk Cousins twice during the team period, according to ESPN. After that second hit, Cousins wasn't happy. So, the quarterback "got into Crosby's face, grabbing the All-Pro's jersey, while both exchanged words before it was broken up," according to the report.

Now, the Raiders have handed down their official punishment for the heated moment. Things easily get heated in the NFL, and it's certainly normal to see fights go down between teammates during training camp, but this went too far.

Las Vegas Raiders punish Maxx Crosby and Kirk Cousins​

The Raiders didn't allow either Crosby or Cousins to practice with the team on Saturday. That was their punishment.

"We have very clear expectations on how we want to practice and how we want to go about our business, and we violated that yesterday, so [we] held those guys out," Kubiak told reporters. "That's all I'm going to say about it. We addressed it with the team, and we're moving on."

ESPN's Adam Schefter added, "Raiders HC Klint Kubiak told reporters that Kirk Cousins and Maxx Crosby are being held out of practice today for violating team rules for fighting Friday."

Crosby is known for getting too physical with his teammates. He was told to not to touch the quarterbacks. He's not one to follow rules. It's frankly actions like this that could make other teams less interested in trading for him, too.
