Friday night's races at Selinsgrove Speedway are canceled.
Speedway officials made the announcement on their website and on social media.
"Unfortunately with the rain received yesterday along with the forecast for scattered rain and thunderstorms this afternoon into evening, we are going to be canceling the show for Friday, August 7th," the officials posted on Facebook. "We have a lot of race teams that travel a far distance to race with us week in and week out so we feel the need to make this decision early."
Racing is scheduled to resume next Friday, Aug. 14. The slate will feature the Joe Whitcomb Memorial for 358 Sprint Cars ($2,071 to win), High Caliber Cranes 410 Sprint Cars, and Wingless Super Sportsman.
