I would like to know what everyone thinks. Who would have gone first if they both came out the same year? Peppers or Wadsworth? I was not following the draft as heavily back then as I have been the past few years. I really thought Peppers was going to be a bust, so based on that alone I would assume Wadsworth would have been rated higher. But watching Peppers play last year BOY WAS I WRONG! That guy is an absolute STUD! So what does everyone think? Who would have gone first?

Wadsworth hands down. He was an awesome college player and faced some good teams at FSU

Personally, I think there would have been a lot of flip flopping on the two of them. Much like we've seen with Palmer-Leftwich and Robertson-Kennedy. I think Wadsworth would've been picked first because he had the stronger year leading up to the draft and played (I think) on a National Championship team.

Apples to oranges. Wads was considered a bigger DE who could leap tall buildings at a single bound and anchor the LDE position against the strong-side run while augmenting our pressure on the QB next to Swanny from that side.

Peppers' profile was closer to that of a larger version of Lawrence Taylor - a guy who could come off the right edge but was still big enough to handle running plays to the RDE side.

Which one would go earliest might very well depend on who was picking and what their needs were.

Huh? Wads is not even close to Peppers. Wads was more along the lines of 6'3 260 while Peppers is 6'6 280.

Really....I don't think he ever played at that weight. Players typically gain weight for the combine, then lose it for their workouts. Wadsworth actually never ran.....

After his third season he was 272. He was a big, fairly quick dude.
