In the louisville paper today there was a article about QB Dave Ragone. It said that Ragone was going to work out again today for the Bears.Said the Bears have seen him several times before but what to see him again.Maybe this hints that the Bears will pass on Leftwich and draft a DT in Round 1.Just passing on the info.

Da Bears have probably put out more dis-information than any other 3 teams combined, how much intentionally, I have no clue.

My guess would be however, that Ragone is pretty much a lock for them as their second pick. Which means most likely either Suggs or Robertson in the first.

I go with Suggs, simply because that is their more immediate need...replacing Colvin. They still have Traylor and Washington.

Sounds logical, but then again you get the feeling that Jerry Angelo is really getting off on spreading false rumors (reports of their interest in Simms and Ragone could be merely a smokescreen).

Anyone else getting the feeling that Ragone has somehow become "the forgotten man" in this draft, and could wind up a pretty good value in Round 2?

I'm not saying the Cards should pick him, but, other than the left-handed thing, I think he's less of a risk than Simms (who tends to tense up and fragment mentally at crunch time).

Dave Ragone will take a year or maybe two before he is ready to start but he is a tough solid QB with a fine arm.He will be a solid Pro IMHO.I wouldn`t mind him in AZ (But we already have our QB of the future don`t we)

Maybe the Bears are putting out alot of dis-info but I have been predicting for weeks and weeks the Bears would take D in round 1...most likely a DT, and a QB in round 2 and I have always mentioned it would be Ragone.

I think Ragone is maybe the 4th best QB in the draft...JMHO. Jeff, he has been totally missed it appears and I really like him. I really did all year even though he had a rough year. There is something about him that just intrigues. I think he is alot better than Simms and I have him rated higher than Grossman.

Except for in the Bears defense, Colvin was a LB until sure passing downs when he played DE and Suggs cannot play LB. They are more likely to take DT IMO since I believe they will cut Traylor (salary cap). The Bears already have a guy kind of like Suggs in Alex Brown...DE who uses speed and has moves. The pther end is {hilip Daniels and while he isn't a huge sack guy he plays the run very well and gets some sacks.
