WEST LAFAYETTE − Rod Green was expected to be help on the offensive line last season.
That's what Purdue football felt it was getting when Green, the No. 2 ranked junior college offensive lineman in the 2024 signing class, came to West Lafayette from Coffeyville Community College.
Instead, Green ended up having season-ending labrum surgery.
Green returned healthy this spring, under the direction of a new offensive line coach Vance Vice, new offensive coordinator Josh Henson and new head coach Barry Odom.
After providing depth along the front line at guard during the spring season, Green will enter the transfer portal. Purdue is Green's fourth school after he began his career at Grambling in 2021 before stops at Tennessee State and Coffeyville.
