Someone requested this a little while ago, and I thought it was a good idea.
At the end of May, we’ll start our player countdown to kickoff. It’ll be more in-depth this year to help everyone get a better grasp on the roster heading into the fall. As we work our way from 99 to 0, the countdown articles will be linked to the players’ names in this roster. In theory, by the time the season kicks off, you won’t have to yell “get him on the ground #18” and instead will be able to scream “get him on the ground, Elo!” right before Georgia transfer (by way of Army) defensive end Elo Modozie plants the Indiana State quarterback and gets people talking about the “den of defensive ends” again.
Ok, I might be coming on a little strong; my afternoon coffee is starting to kick in. I linked all of my “New Faces to Know” articles to their correct player if you want to get a head start on the proceedings. I’m going to go ahead and post the roster before I say something that will be held against me at a later date, like, “6 win Purdue!?!” or other such foolishness (or is it?).
