According to Le Parisien, Ismael Saibari, one of Morocco's key players during this World Cup, was offered to PSG last winter.

Last winter, Paris Saint-Germain snatched one of Spain's brightest prospects from Barcelona. Dro Fernandez signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with the Parisian club and has since been used sparingly during his first six months, although he still managed to score his first goal in red and blue. Before completing that deal for around €10 million, however, PSG's leadership had the opportunity to sign a very different player.

That player, incidentally, has been shining brightly during this World Cup: Ismael Saibari. According to Le Parisien, the Morocco international's name was indeed presented to Luis Campos last winter. However, seeking a more No. 8 profile, the Portuguese decision-maker chose not to pursue the matter. That ultimately allowed Bayern Munich to win the race for his signature.

For €55 million, Bayern officially completed the transfer of Ismael Saibari from PSV Eindhoven. It remains to be seen whether PSG's decision to sign Dro instead will prove to be the right one. Saibari, now 25, played in a World Cup Round of 16 match alongside Achraf Hakimi against Canada on Saturday, with Morocco earning a 3-0 victory.

On the other hand, Randal Kolo Muani is one of the players expected to shape PSG's transfer window. The club continues its discussions with Juventus regarding the France international.

Still under contract with PSG until June 2028, Kolo Muani is not part of Luis Enrique's plans and is expected to leave the French capital club during this summer transfer window. After spending last season on loan at Tottenham, one destination appears to be waiting for him: Juventus.

The former Nantes striker, who has agreed to play for the Bianconeri after wearing the club's colors during the second half of the 2024-25 season, is waiting for the two clubs to reach an agreement. In recent days, reports suggested that Randal Kolo Muani could join on a loan deal with an obligation to buy.

Some outlets even reported that PSG and Juventus were close to agreeing to a paid loan with a €40 million buy-out obligation. But according to Italian transfer specialist Gianluca Di Marzio, while the two clubs have agreed on the structure of the deal -- a loan with an obligation to buy if Juventus qualifies for European competition next season -- they remain far apart on the amount of that obligation for Randal Kolo Muani to become a permanent Juventus player beginning with the 2027-28 campaign. As was the case last summer, this saga appears set to drag on.
