Today starts the FA signing period that will not count toward compensatory picks.

The Cardinals will most likely receive a 5th round comp pick for Bobby Massie's contract and they just narrowly missed out on adding another 2 7th rounders for Weatherspoon's and Sowell's contracts.

What three FAs would you want to see Steve Keim sign to one-year prove it deals? Make your case.

Freeney and Powers - They know the system, and coaches know what to expect from them.

Donald Butler ILB Released by SD (Not on the list)
Team leader and athletic tackling machine that after signing a big contract, came in out of shape and less interested. This caused the inevitable series of injuries limiting his production to the point of being released by the Chargers. Will be 28 this Autumn, so young enough to prove he is worth another big contract, if he can show the league his last two years were a mistake.

Greg Hardy. Ya not a 3-4 guy but bring him in. If he doesn't make the team atleast we tried to find a force.

And Freeney.

no way. I don't know that any team touches Hardy with a 30 foot pole. I mean, even the Cowboys, the world's trash heap, couldn't take him. Rumors were a terrible locker room guy too. We don't need that influence here.

Gosh I didn't mean to get my head bit off about Hardy. I retract my statement as it was early in the morning and that's all I got right now.

Leon Hall.

I like these two and add Dezman Moses for me. Moses is good on special teams, but I would like to see him move to ISLB for us and play next to Buc on passing down. I think he could get after the QB like a Dansby type player.

Disclaimer: Not saying he as talented as Los, just saying I would like to see what he could do in that role.

Do you think any of those OT would be willing to work for the minimum? I keep hearing that they want to add a vet swing OT when the dust settles.

I would like to add another veteran ILB as insurance. The biggest name out there is Demeco Ryans. At 31, he's not ancient and could actually be an upgrade over Minter because he is actually a 3 down LB. He wouldn't have to start as ARZ likes the duo of Bucannon and Minter but if one goes down, he would more than suffice as a replacement.

Interesting thought, he is a great leader and was a very good play maker at one point. Eagles are not deep at LB so them not keeping him is a concern for me.

Ryans was cut for salary cap reasons, plus its PHI, not exactly a team that has been making sensible moves lately.

I actually think that Howie has been doing a great job since Chip left. Ryans has had injury issues. If BASK brings him in I'd be stoked because they believe he still has skills but I'm guessing they won't.
