To waste a high third rd pick on a #3 qb is the epitome of dumb. The is Buster Davis dumb

Beck should start and Minshew back him up. Trade brissett.

If Beck sucks then you draft a qb next year, if hes good then great you found a qb

This is an interesting take. I am curious how they will use him for sure due to his size limitations and the size limitations of the rest of the DL room.
Size wise doesnt he compare with Dockett and if half as good we got a really good one on our hands "Thats a mighty big if though" fyi per Google Dockett at 6'4" and 290

Proctor weighted 291 at the combine and 295 at his pro day. Playing weight in the 290's is fairly typical of D-lineman. Aaron Donald did pretty good at 285(no I'm not comparing him to Aaron Donald). Granted, he's not going to be a big run-stuffing D-lineman. Definitely a penetrator.

It's more of the composition of the room vs his individual size. Nolen is 295/300. Robinson 290. Collier 295. Stills 295. A lot of guys who are around 300 but none of the larger guys are ale to push the pocket. Makes for a tough room when considering the division.

Roy Lopez is 6'2 , 318lbs. and Andrew Billings is 6'1, 340 lbs. I would assume they are the D-linemen in the middle for goal line and short yardage situations.

Also, there always seem to be opportunities to pick up guys like this after the draft who are one dimensional but can add some value to a D-line rotation.

The draft is in the rear view, so crying over the picks does no good. We got what we got. I’m hoping the line will be good enough to give Love ample room to get into the secondary. I appreciate his pass catching ability and expect the Cards to use him frequently as a flanker. That should open lanes for Harrison and others and/or get Love the ball in space. I like both scenarios. (Feel bad for Allgiere who likely thought he was signing to be RB1.) The guard should start, no question. Whether he’ll pick up pro ball quickly is questionable but I’m confident he will. As for Beck, man, I don’t know. He’s had a lot of big game experience at big time programs. He’s the right size, especially compared to Kyler. He should be ok in our program. I was impressed with him on Gruden’s QB show. I hope he hits it out of the park and we have our QB1 of the future. That would solve a lot of problems. But there’s just something about him…. As for the others, I have no feel for how they might fit in. Yeah, I hope they’re world beaters, but really don’t think they will be.

Yes, but the Cardinals run 3 down DL players in their base package...Lopez only played 39% on snaps last year...Billings is terrible. It's just a very small DL room for a very run heavy division.
