Slovenia's Nika Prevc was crowned the Two Nights Tour champion for a third consecutive time despite finishing fourth in the women's large hill in Oberstdorf, Germany on Thursday.

Prevc's jump of 105 metres in the first round was only enough for a 17th place, but she bounced back in the second attempt with a 128.5-metre jump and finished 11.6 points behind winner Abigail Strate.

Thanks to her dominant win in Garmisch-Partenkirchen the day before, the World Cup leader topped the final overall standing of the Two Nights Tour.

Canadian Strate claimed her maiden World Cup win with jumps of 136m and 116m. China's Ping Zeng was second, while German Selina Freitag completed the podium.

It was a final event for local hero Katharina Schmid, who will retire at the end of the season. She finished her last home event in 11th.

"I'm just happy," Schimd told broadcasters ZDF while in tears.

Schmid, born Althaus, is one of the most decorated athletes in the history of ski jumping, with seven world titles and two Olympic silver medals.

She will still have the chance to add an Olympic title to her medal collection at the 2026 Olympics in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo in February.

While the men are competing at the Four Hills Tournament, the women have the Two Nights Tour in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Oberstdorf.

The event was originally known as the Silvester Tour and took place across Austria and Slovenia, but was rebranded for the 2023-24 campaign. Prevc has won all three editions so far.

The women are expected to compete at the Four Hills Tournament from the 2026-27 season.
