COLBERT, Wash. — In a closely contested battle of unbeatens featuring the top two teams in Washington Class 2B state RPI rankings, Adrik Jenkin turned in a 46-point performance to lead the visiting Bulldogs past Northwest Christian of Colbert 78-68 in boys basketball action Friday.
Jenkin knocked down seven 3-pointers and 11-of-14 free throws on the day. He hit a critical 3 as the shot clock expired with around two minutes remaining in regulation to stretch the Colfax lead to eight points, establishing a cushion for the Bulldogs (18-0), who had led by only a single point through three quarters.
Ledger Kelly added another 12 points for Colfax.

Kendry Gimlin made a traditional three-point play for the go-ahead points with eight seconds remaining and the Clarkson Bantams edged the visiting Rogers Pirates of Spokane in a 60-59 Class 2A Greater Spokane League boys basketball thriller on Friday at Clarkston High School.
Gimlin led Clarkston (7-11, 2-7) with 22 total points on the day, while Dray Torpey added 15 and Niko AhHi put up 14.
The Bantams, who had been on the losing end of a single-point heartbreaker against the Pirates (7-8, 3-6) earlier this month in addition to other narrow losses this season, trailed 50-42 through three quarters in Friday's game before battling back to return the favor.

RATHDRUM, Idaho — The Bengals racked up their 12th consecutive win and remained perfect in 5A Inland Empire League competition with a dominant showing against Lakeland of Rathdrum.
Royce Fisher drained five 3-point goals and finished with a team-high 19 points for Lewiston (15-2, 5-0). He was joined in double figures by Blaze Hepburn with 13 points and Brady Rudolph with another four 3s for 12 points.
The victory secured back-to-back regular season conference titles for the Bengals.

Ralli Roetcisoender (18 points, nine assists), Maddox Kirkland (13 points, seven rebounds, three blocks), Hudson Kirkland (11 points), Nathan Tweit (10 points, eight boards) and Cade Silflow (10 points, eight boards) all made major contributions to the balanced effort for Kendrick (14-2). The Tigers came out strong from intermission to establish a comfortable winning margin with a 14-6 showing in the third quarter.

SPOKANE — Shorthanded Pullman Christian pulled out the win over Spokane Athletic Co-op while competing with only five players.
Judah Fitzgerald led the Eagles (8-7) to victory with 18 points and nine rebounds. Kobina Hammond (nine points), Chili Gleason (seven steals, four assists, four points), Luke Johnson (nine rebounds, four points) and Jonny Brown (seven boards, four points) all played pivotal roles as well.
Pullman Christian coach Jamie Gleason gave credit to the "remarkable defensive effort" his team showed, saying that the team played "loose and free with great intensity of defense."

Elise McManigle led Clarkston (16-2, 8-1) with 17 points. She made seven field goals, including a 3-pointer and was a perfect 2-of-2 from the free-throw line.
Aneysa Judy totaled 15 points for the Bantams. She was a perfect 6-of-6 from inside the arc and hit one 3-pointer in the game.
Preslee Dempsey (11 points), Joslyn McCormack-Marks (10) and Hadley Bergamo (10) each got into double-digits for the Bantams.

Lewiston coach Brady Bagby said that his Bengals (7-12, 1-4) competed hard and put up solid resistance through the first half, but that the Hawks (16-4, 6-0) have "one of the best teams in the state" and showcased their superior height and offensive firepower in the contest.

COEUR D'ALENE — Lewiston's Coen Roberts (144 pounds), Mason Faling (157) and Parker Bagley (285) advanced to today's semifinals after Day 1 action in the North Idaho Rumble tournament, as did Moscow's 132-pounder Eian Schwecke.
To book their respective spots in the final four, Roberts posted two pins and a technical fall, Faling delivered one pin apiece in the first and second rounds, Bagley wiped out three opponents in an average of less than one minute each, and Schwecke scored back-to-back first-round pins.

COLBERT, Wash. — In a closely contested battle of unbeatens featuring the top two teams in Washington Class 2B state RPI rankings, Adrik Jenkin turned in a 46-point performance to lead the visiting Bulldogs past Northwest Christian of Colbert 78-68 in boys basketball action Friday.
Jenkin knocked down seven 3-pointers and 11-of-14 free throws on the day. He hit a critical 3 as the shot clock expired with around two minutes remaining in regulation to stretch the Colfax lead to eight points, establishing a cushion for the Bulldogs (18-0), who had led by only a single point through three quarters.
Ledger Kelly added another 12 points for Colfax.

Lewiston coach Brady Bagby said that his Bengals (7-12, 1-4) competed hard and put up solid resistance through the first half, but that the Hawks (16-4, 6-0) have "one of the best teams in the state" and showcased their superior height and offensive firepower in the contest.

Area grapplers reach semis
COEUR D'ALENE — Lewiston's Coen Roberts (144 pounds), Mason Faling (157) and Parker Bagley (285) advanced to today's semifinals after Day 1 action in the North Idaho Rumble tournament, as did Moscow's 132-pounder Eian Schwecke.
To book their respective spots in the final four, Roberts posted two pins and a technical fall, Faling delivered one pin apiece in the first and second rounds, Bagley wiped out three opponents in an average of less than one minute each, and Schwecke scored back-to-back first-round pins.
