Crawled Through 5 FB Fields
1. They will not trade up from the #26 spot. They will wait in hopes that one of the following players is available at #26:
LB Rolando McClain
QB Jimmy Clausen
LB Brandon Graham
LB Will Weatherspoon
LB Jason Pierre-Paul
LB Sergio Kindle
NT Dan Williams
CB/S Earl Thomas
T Charles Brown
T Anthony Davis
WR Golden Tate
2. If they get a good offer to trade down from #26 to pick up an extra 3rd round pick, I think there's a very good chance they will do it, because I beleive they would like to take a QB in round three, and having three picks in round three would allow them to address other needs and take a QB.
3. If they trade down, let's say for Cleveland's #38 and #92 picks, the players they would be hoping for at #38 would be any of the aforementioned players they were hoping for at #26, if that becomes the case, or one of the following players:
LB Sean Lee
LB Ricky Sapp
LB Jerry Hughes
CB Devin McCourty
NT Terrence Cody.
4. At #58...if they make the trade and take LB Sean Lee, they hope for the following at #58:
T Rodger Saffold
WRs Demaryius Thomas
WR Damian Williams
WR Mardy Gilyard
WR Arrelious Benn
NT Linval Joseph
NT Cam Thomas
CB Kareem Jackson
CB Patrick Robinson
CB Perrish Cox
CB Jerome Murphy
CB Chris Cook
CB Brandon Ghee
LB Jason Worilds
LB Koa Misi
LB Dekoda Watson
LB Thaddeus Gibson
LB Jermaine Cunningham.
5. With the 3 3rd Rounders (#88, #89, and #92)...
QBs: Mike Kafka, Jonathan Crompton, John Skelton, Levi Brown, Jevan Snead or Jarrett Brown.
OL: Mike Johnson, Mitch Petrus, Jared Veldheer, Matt Tennant, J.D. Walton or Kyle Calloway.
WRs: Dorin Dickerson, Taylor Price, Mike Williams, Brandon LaFell, Eric Decker, Jordan Shipley, Andre Roberts, Dezmon Briscoe or Jacoby Ford.
TEs: Rob Gronkowski, Ed Dickson, Dennis Pitta, Tony Moeaki or Colin Peek.
LB: Donald Butler, Pat Angerer, Brandon Lang, Brandon Spikes, Roderick Muckelroy, A.J. Edds or Greg Hardy.
CB: Donovan Warren, Dominique Franks, Akwasi Owusu-Ansah, Amari Spivey or Myron Lewis.
S: Morgan Burnett, Nate Allen, Major Wright.
6. At #123, the Cardinals will hope for one of the players they were considering in the third round will be there in the 4th. last year they deliberated over whether to take CB Greg Toler in the 3rd round, and when they chose S Rashad Johnson instead, they were hoping that Toler would be there for them in the 4th and, to their delight he was.
7. As for the #195 and #233 picks...I think I know who they already are: (really, it's anyone's guess and the options are too numerous to list). But, here's my guess:
ILB Boris Lee (Troy) and SS Cody Grimm (Virginia Tech).
After all is said and done, I see it as something like this:
#38: Sean Lee, ILB, Penn. St.
#58: Linval Joseph, NT, East Carolina
#88: Andre Roberts, WR, The Citadel
#89: Akwasi Owusu-Ansah, CB/FS, Indiana (PA)
#92: Levi Brown, QB, Troy
#123: Colin Peek, TE, Alabama
#195: Boris Lee, ILB, Troy
#233: Cody Grimm, SS, Virginia Tech
OR:
#26: Rolando McClain, ILB, Alabama
#58: Linval Joseph, NT, East Carolina
#88: Andre Roberts, WR, The Citadel
#89: Akwasi Owusu-Ansah, CB/FS, Indiana (PA)
#123: Mike Kafka, QB, Northwestern
#195: Boris Lee, ILB, Troy
#233: Cody Grimm, SS, Virginia Tech
Which scenario do you like better? What scenario (with what players) do you think will happen? I am looking forward to reading your thoughts.
LB Rolando McClain
