Legacy Motor Club has been improving as the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season progresses. Erik Jones should be a lock to return in 2027 due to his speed, while John Hunter Nemechek should be in the No. 42 car. However, who will drive the No. 84 car full-time for Legacy Motor Club in 2027?
Motorsports Wire is predicting that Riley Herbst will drive the No. 84 car for Legacy Motor Club next season. The organization will have a third charter, and while Jesse Love was a possible fit, Herbst should be the driver. After all, he has improved compared to his rookie season with 23XI Racing.
Jones is currently sitting in the Chase while Nemechek continues to improve. While there could be questions about Nemechek's future soon, the organization has been announcing sponsors and paint schemes for the 2027 NASCAR season. Herbst will be the newcomer, but everything else should stay the same.
