Predicting a 16-player practice squad for the Broncos

With training camp in full swing, we recently published our 53-man roster prediction for the Denver Broncos, followed by projected locks and roster bubble players. Today, we're doing an early 16-player practice squad projection.

NFL teams are allowed to carry an extra 17th player on the practice squad if it's a designated international player, but the Broncos do not have an obvious candidate for that designation in 2026. So, we're projecting a 16-player practice squad at the moment.

Following their preseason finale on Aug. 28, Denver will have until Aug. 30 to finalize an initial 53-man roster. After waiver claims the next day, teams can begin building their practice squads. We will be tracking all of the moves on Broncos Wire.
