I thought it was odd he didn’t cover it alsoSomething I'll be looking at in the game is MLF. I know he's called plays before, but I don't know if he was down on the field or up in the booth. In the HOF game he did a poor job of covering his mouth (with the play card) when calling plays. So when I saw a lot of verbiage, I figured it would be a pass and it usually was. Does anyone else see this as a potential problem?
He probably doesn't care since it's preseason. Besides, Michigan showed you can go to great lengths to steal signs even with mouth being covered.I thought it was odd he didn’t cover it also
I see that tomorrow's game is on ESPN Unltd. I contacted ESPN and asked if I had access with my ESPN+ membership. Found that I'm paying $12.95 for ESPN+, but Unltd costs $29.95. So I'll tape the game on the NFL Network, Friday 1-4 AM, and watch the replay with my breakfast on Friday morning.
My question is, should I check the score before watching, in case we got killed? What would you do, keeping in mind that $29.95 is out.
The natural first step is Beck beating out Minshew. I am sure practice will be more of a determination of that than the game, but it might be an indicator of how close the battle is in practice.when brissett doesn't doesn't pull off the 97 yard drive tomorrow it won't be nothing but a thing but minshew might wanna go 15-19
if minshew doesn't potray the same poised and polished display beck did - and then beck comes in and balls out again - houston - we have a qb competition - and may the best man win
brissett has shown to be pretty durable so this all may be moot but i don't see nothing wrong with allowing beck to compete for the #2 - if not why did monti draft him
me thinks minshew would be easy to move - me thinks he's a detroit kinda guy - me thinks the lions can't be serious about josh dobbs and we can't be serious about next year's draft unless we know who beck is
I wouldn't pay the $29 and avoid the score and watched the recording the next day. That's what I will be doing.I see that tomorrow's game is on ESPN Unltd. agreed - lafleur's looking for a pocket qb but also one that can bootleg and throw on the move - comes with play action - it'll be interesting to see how graceful minshew is because beck was damn near prettyThe natural first step is Beck beating out Minshew. Probably not. But I might do a lot of fast forwarding, if I know that it's a blowout.Normally if I see a final score early I pretty much lose all interest in watching it. Even a replay is a bit ehhh, but not knowing is the main appeal of sports. But preseason score doesn't matter as much as opposed to seeing particular players.
It depends if you care about it being spoiled or not. If we get stomped, would that prevent you from watching it?
I wonder if there's a scenario where the Cards cut Minshew, make Beck QB2 and stash Slovis on the PS.The natural first step is Beck beating out Minshew. I am sure practice will be more of a determination of that than the game, but it might be an indicator of how close the battle is in practice.

I thought ESPN + was showing the game live too?? At least the cards web site says it is Our charter cable comes with ESPN advantage though so I'll be watching live either way. My son just told me that cuz I was expecting to watch it at midnight here on the NFL channel.I see that tomorrow's game is on ESPN Unltd. There it is guys, tomorrow the Chicken Ranch is wide open....LOLI don’t normally go to preseason games anymore haven’t for years, but my buddy gave me free tickets and I don’t have any plans so I said screw it. I’ll be there.
Right- trading our 1-11 QB from last season would be totally waving the white flag for a tank season.Trade Jacoby? Interesting. Well, if we are going to tank again.
