I'm shocked to see anything Suns related as the majority vote.

Amare is too nasty to vote against tho.

the best what?

PF. He has played there a good portion of his career there.

It would be like calling Amare a C. He has played there half of his career as a C.

I'd rather have LeBron as my power forward. He's a large person

I bet most people would disagree with you.

Just because Amare is better than Duncan right now, doesn't mean that he is the best ever. That's crazy logic.

Amare has a LONG way to go before he is better than Duncan over his career.

Amare is better than Duncan if you don't count defense, leadership, and titles.

Amare I think has the potential to have a better career than Duncan but right now, Duncan is the better.

I'd still take Amare next year.

Sorry...

But, Amare Stoudemire would need to produce better numbers than Karl Malone for a 10+ year span for even to sniff the top 5.

Duncan doesnt have the numbers Karl Malone nor Charles Barkley, but is among them because of championship and defense.

Those 3 are the top 3 best PFs of all time...

Amare Stoudemire, a beast that he is, is not even a quarter there...
KG, McHale etc are about twice as much more accomplished as Stoudemire also.

Offense wise, he is a beast, but potential to be better, but.... potential... its just is...

The "next season" modifier on the poll is why Amare is leading. Else KG would be the bar none choice.

1) duncan was only a PF when he played with David Robinson. I classify him as a center because of his defense, he plays center defensively, power forwards tend to roam more from around the basket, and are generally quick enough to guard PF's. Tim Duncan needs big help to guard amare, or david west, his feet arent fast enough to D up those guys one-on-one from the elbow. Just watch the highlights, enough said. As a center Duncan is still one of the best, perhaps the most versatile offensive center ever. Calling him a PF gets him a starting nod on the all star game every year(no shaq or yao to contend with) and consideration as the greatest (PF) of all time. Anybody who thinks oberto is an NBA center, is kidding themselves. He cant guard ANY competent NBA center.

2) Tim Duncan has had a much better career as a player than amare stoudemire, not even close.

I am not suprised by the poll, after all fan polls are what they are. Amare is an outstanding talent with alot of work to do to be considered an all time great anything.

I don't think the typical fan who votes on the poll puts that much thought into it. I think people just vote for who they think is the best PF in their mind or the most fun to watch. Besides it's not like KG is going to fall off the map next year. I don't know anybody who thinks that.

Just another overreaction/what have you done for me lately sentiment that is popular with the typical Sports Center watching crowd.

Not that I don't agree but I find it humerous that Amare would have been like third on that list in January.
