Former Stanford guard Ebuka Okorie, the 17th pick in the 2026 NBA draft, has signed his rookie contract with the Detroit Pistons, the team announced on Monday.

He will make $4,481,280 next season, according to Spotrac.

Okorie was an Associated Press All-American honorable mention last season, averaging 23.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.6 steals while shooting 35.4% from 3-point range. He led the ACC in scoring, while ranking seventh among all players in the country.

The 6-foot-1 Okorie set the record for the highest scoring average by a freshman in ACC history, surpassing the previous mark set by R.J. Barrett in the 2017-18 season (22.6). He registered eight 30-point performances, tied for the most by a freshman in conference history.

Okorie became one of just 12 freshmen since 2000 to average at least 20 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. His 719 points were the third-most ever by any player in program history, just 16 shy of Adam Keefe for the all-time record.

The 19-year-old was highly touted in the draft this year for his scoring and ability to pull up from virtually anywhere on the court. Averaging 7.3 free-throw attempts with the Cardinal, Okorie put tremendous pressure on defenses on a nightly basis.

Okorie will suit up with the Pistons in the NBA Summer League, beginning against the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday in Las Vegas, Nevada (5:30 p.m. EDT, Prime Video).
