The Detroit Pistons made up for their narrow home loss to the New York Knicks in Game 4 of their Best-of-7 series on Tuesday night with a 106-103 Game 5 win at Madison Square Garden in the Big Apple.
The Pistons' win puts them in position to send the series to a deciding Game 7 if they can win Game 6 at home on Thursday night at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.
Following Tuesday night's win, the Pistons' at times reclusive owner Tom Gores took to his X account to share his thoughts on the big win along with a look-ahead to Thursday's showdown in Detroit.

"Give us a fair shot, and we'll show you there are no limits to our grit, heart, and hustle," the Pistons' owner said.
"Ready to come home and get back to work in front of the best fans in the world."
