Detroit Pistons Make Unexpected Announcement Before Game 6 vs. New York Knicks

The Detroit Pistons defeated the New York Knicks in Game 5 at Madison Square Garden, sending their series to a pivotal Game 6 in the Motor City.

The Pistons are scheduled to host coach Tom Thibodeau, point guard Jalen Brunson and the Knicks at Little Caesars Arena at 7:30 p.m. ET in what is expected to be an incredibly loud and boisterous atmosphere in Detroit.

On Wednesday, the Pistons made an announcement that not many fans saw coming as they shared a surprising short video of a new development leading into Thursday night's showdown, one that was surprising to many fans.

"Squad uniform: white. Crowd uniform: white.

"We're all wearing white tomorrow. GAME 6. LET'S GO!" the Pistons wrote on X as they hyped up their fans for the crucial home contest.

The Pistons' franchise has not won a playoff series since 2007-2008 against the Orlando Magic, when Chauncey Billups and Richard Hamilton combined to form one of the best backcourts in the league.

Cade Cunningham, Jalen Duren and the Pistons have been playing without power forward/center Isaiah Stewart, whose physical presence and outside shooting have been greatly missed against Karl Anthony-Towns, Mitchell Robinson and the Knicks during the series.
