Well, I did stay up and review the tape through the first half.
You were right. On the play where Blake was injured there were only 10 men on the field. Shipp was the lone setback, one receiver split wide left, one wide right and the tight end. That was it. No one else in the backfield or in a slot anywhere.
From trying to read the nonverbal signs I could, I never saw any indication that anyone on the sidelines (coaches, etc) were aware of it. I would have thought so. There was a camera shot of the bench just before the play started that showed Bryant Johnson on the sidelines with a towel in his hand.
What I also noticed was that Blake looked both left and right and turned around and looked behind after coming up under center, yet he evidently didn't recognize the man missing as he then continued on as if everything was normal.
