PIAA softball playoffs begin Monday. Here's what you need to know.

The quest for a state championship begins Monday for softball teams across the state. As always, there are plenty of Bucks County area teams in the tournament. Check out the first-round matchups, and everything you need to know about the tournament here.

How many teams make the PIAA softball playoffs?​

• There are 96 teams in the PIAA state playoffs, with 16 teams in each of the six classes.
• Seven Bucks County area teams qualified, which is the same number (those not the same teams) as last year.
• Those seven teams are spread among five classes, with three teams in Class 6A.

When and where do the PIAA softball playoffs take place?​

• The playoffs begin Monday, June 1 for all classes. The quarterfinals are Thursday, June 4; the semifinals are Monday, June 8.
• The 2026 PIAA Softball Championships conclude on Thursday, June 11 for Classes 1A, , 3A, and 5A, and Friday, June 12 for Classes 2A, 4A and 6A.
• The first three rounds are played at regional sites. The championship games take place at Penn State's Nittany Lion Softball Park.

• 1-1 Dock Mennonite at 11-1 Tri-Valley, 4 p.m.

Class 2A:​

• 12-1 Philadelphia Academy Charter at 1-1Bristol, 4 p.m.

Class 3A:​

• 1-1 Villa Joseph Marie vs. 12-1 Nazareth Academy, 4 p.m. at FDR ParkEgan

Class 5A:​

• 1-4Upper Moreland at at 2-1 Abington Heights, 4:30 p.m.

Class 6A:​

• 11-2 Emmaus at 1-2Souderton, 6 p.m.
• 1-6 North Penn at 3-1 Central Dauphin, 4 p.m.
• 1-5 Pennsbury at 3-2 Chambersburg, 4 p.m. at Norlo Park
