Phoenix Suns franchise icon Devin Booker has earned many accolades, worn many sneakers, and been given many different labels over the course of his 11-year career.

Now, he's earned a new label - this time as an author of a book.

The book - titled "Devin Booker: In My Shoes: Hardwood to Concrete" is a 240-page hardcover product that is set to be released on September 8 in conjunction with Rizzoli New York.

The ultimate purpose of the first authored work from Booker is to highlight behind-the-scenes work that was done while crafting his first signature shoe with Nike - which first released in 2024 - as well as discussing his personal infatuation with sneakers as a youth that led him on a path to becoming a fashion icon.

"Booker pulls back the curtains on his personal journey and early obsession with sneakers, from childhood sketches of his ideal footwear and early aspirations with Nike to become a distinguished Nike signature athlete alongside legends like Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and LeBron James. At the heart of the story is the creation of the Book 1, a shoe that redefines performance and style, merging basketball legacy with streetwear influence. "

This development creates several avenues to unpack from, including Booker being a true icon in the city of Phoenix - one that continues to put the city on the map in the manner of someone such as Bryant. Between bringing consistent star-level production to the court, to being one of five Nike athletes with a signature shoe in the NBA, to being frequently featured in pop-culture references that include being name-dropped in song lyrics by Drake - Booker has become one of the most iconic stars across the professional basketball world.

One of the other major takeaways is a simple one, but the publishing of a book reflects on just how motivated Booker is as a creative. He's seemingly pushing the boundaries of what it means to be a star in a manner that peers such as James and Jayson Tatum have, which typically reflects into on-court evolution as well. Booker's more self-assured and secure standing within the NBA should only result in an elevated positioning as a playmaker, which should only positively impact teammates such as Collin Gillespie in the season to come.

Booker's book will come in at a price of $57.50 in the United States, and will ultimately be an opportunity for Suns fans to get to know another side of the five-time All-Star before his 12th season officially gets underway.
