There really isn’t much good around the Phillies right now. The best thing to say about today is that Cristopher Sanchez gets the start.
Too bad he’s been shakier than normal of late.

- The team is off to a pretty rough start (to say the least). Which things are actually worth worrying about long term ($)?
- Honestly had no memory of Adolis Garcia making a baseball trek through Japan, but here we are, learning new things every day.
MLB news:
- The sale of the Padres is about complete with an agreement expected to be in place by the end of next week ($). It’s going to be expensive.
- Garret Anderson, longtime outfielder for the Angels, passed away suddenly at age 53. Always liked that guy.
- The Rockies are trying something new this year where their pitching coach is “suggesting” pitches from the dugout ($).
- Extensions for young players are all the rage at the moment. However, are we reaching a point where it’s not good?
