It'll be interesting to see what the Philadelphia Phillies do at the trade deadline.
When Dave Dombrowski does his best work, it's typically in the offseason. The Phillies haven't made the moves they've needed over the past few deadlines, but hopefully, that'll change this time.
The ballclub has started to play better over their last 10 games, going 8-2. However, at 21-15 and two games out in the National League East, the Phillies must understand that winning the division won't be as easy as it was a season ago.
If there's one area of need, it continues to be in the outfield. Johan Rojas has played much better in recent weeks and looks to be a serviceable player at the big league level for once.
However, trusting him to continue swinging the bat at a .303 batting average level, and an OPS above .750, wouldn't be a wise decision from the Phillies' perspective.
The team has been linked multiple times to Luis Robert Jr. of the Chicago White Sox.

On Thursday, they got excellent news about the potential availability of the right-handed hitting outfielder. Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reported that five MLB executives believe he's the most likely player to be traded at the deadline.
"The other player to receive multiple votes was Luis Robert Jr. of the White Sox, who had been widely expected to be moved during the offseason. Robert’s disappointing 2024 season – he hit 14 homers with 35 RBIs and a .657 OPS in 100 games – didn’t allow the White Sox to get the return they were seeking, and although the 27-year-old is off to a slow start this season (5 HR, 16 RBIs, .642 OPS), he's tied for the MLB lead with 15 stolen bases, ranks among the league leaders in walks and has been solid defensively," he wrote.
Robert has been brutal to start the 2025 campaign, hitting just .192.
He's turned it around over his past 10 games, getting 10 of his 24 hits this season.
The 27-year-old also has five home runs during the year, but it needs to be better for the White Sox to get the package they're looking for.
