Phil Mickelson’s privileges at a golf club in Southern California have been revoked after a female employee accused him of allegedly making “nonconsensual and inappropriate physical contact,” according to a new report from Golf Digest.
The six-time majors champ, 55, is no longer a member at The Farms Golf Club near San Diego after the alleged interaction, which happened this spring, the outlet reported.
The woman reportedly rejected Mickelson’s overture and immediately reported it to supervisors at the club who “took the allegation seriously and moved quickly.”
The pro golfer was then confronted about the issue while he was in the middle of a golf round and “told to vacate the premises,” the outlet reported.
A spokesman for Mickelson did not immediately return PEOPLE’s request for comment, but told Golf Digest that the “misunderstanding has been cleared up.” PEOPLE has also contacted The Farms for comment.

Mickelson announced that he would not be playing in the Masters due to a family health matter, in a statement shared on social media on Thursday, April 2.

"Unfortunately, I will not play in the Masters Tournament next week and will be out for an extended period of time as my family continues to navigate a personal health matter. I have great respect for Augusta National Golf Club and it is definitely the most special week of the year," Mickelson, a three-time Masters champion, wrote.
Mickelson had also announced in February that he would be absent from the first two events of the 2026 LIV Golf League season in a statement on his social media accounts.
"I will not be able to participate in the first two LIV Events as Amy and I need to be present for a family health matter,” he said, referring to his wife of nearly 30 years.
The veteran golfer — who shares three children with his wife Amy — did not share any further information about the nature of the health matter at the time, nor did he specify what family member was affected.
