WARNER ROBINS, Ga. (WRBL) – For the first time since 1999, Phenix City Youth Baseball is headed to the Little League World Series.
The Phenix City 12U All-Stars capped an unbeaten run through the Southeast Regional with a 4-0 win over Nolensville, Tennessee to earn a trip to Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Phenix City opened tournament play with an 8-5 win over North Carolina, before defeating Tennessee 5-2 and Florida 8-5 to advance to the finals.
The last time Phenix City played in the Little League World Series, they won the United States Championship and finished as runner up in 1999.
