I'm more interested in fixing our GM situation then sacrificing the HC on the altar of public agony.

Our QB's and OL are so bad no coach could win consistently with them. I'd still fire Miller because he simply couldn't get anything done. Knowing our limitations he still couldn't adapt at all to them.

Let the new GM watch the final three games and make decisions on Whiz and get a head start on the offseason.

But for me imo it's not Whiz who needs to go, it's Graves and Miller. Maybe it turns out Whiz and Grimm need to go, but I feel lack of talent at certain positions hurt us far more than lack of coaching, and the majority of the coaching problems were on Miller.

I don't even mind the 'bench lindley for Skelton' debacle last week. Because our problems were well known and obvious before that point. Hell it was obvious for a long time, we had no OT's. Might as well give Lindley the rest of the year to get him some game experience for potential future backup duty. The NFC is stacked this year, 9-7 probably doesn't earn a wildcard this year.

I think Massie and Potter are getting good work to be our future backups at OT.

If we had talent on our OL and at QB and losing like this was happening, I'd be much more in favor of blaming Whiz, but simply put our QB's can't throw, our OL can't block, and our OC can't call a play that works. A head coach can't change that in-season.

On plays our QB's need 5 seconds, they get 3. On plays our QB's need 3 seconds they get 2. Because they know we can't run 5 second plays, they are hammering down on our offense, jumping routes, and playing short.

Depending on how (internally they know, outside we don't) personnel decisions were made to get us here, this could change to include Whiz and Grimm, but from the outside, I don't have that info, and to me, the personnel decisions come mostly from the GM. So I start there. Where the Cards will start obviously may be different, but they have much more info.

Was Grimm lobbying for more talent only to not get it from Graves? Is Whiz responsible for a team that has no QB and no OL above the GM? We simply don't know. What we do know is Graves is personnel head coach and that to me is the weakest link. We know our tackle situation has been horrendous for years. Signing Snyder was a waste, and Colledge is merely average. Forget about backup depth.

Of course firing Graves and getting a new GM quickly in-season won't happen. Though I suspect Graves stays and probably even Whiz. I see miller as toast, and Grimm probably likely as well. Though to me that would be getting rid of one guy we should and one we really don't know if it's the right call, and letting the guy we should fire most, Graves, off the hook.

We have a lot of talent on this team. But we need some big additions. About 3-4 starting OL and a top 25 QB. If we had those things, given everything else we have, I think we make the playoffs this year in a stacked NFC.

Obviously need help at RB and OLB, and a young FS to groom for Wilson.

Well here's to hopefully getting a good OL with our 1st pick (like Joeckel or Matthews) after most likely losing the next three games as I don't see a QB worthy of that high a pick being available. Though with the cap of high picks no longer being totally outrageous I wouldn't blame them taking a gamble high on a QB. To me though, our OL is worse than our QB's. If a great QB was out there, awesome. But it seems like we can either fix one of our tackle spots in the first round or gamble on a flawed QB in a weak QB class. At least that's where I am now. I'd rather take a stud OT in the 1st and take a gamble on a QB in the 2nd or 3rd...and be ready to draft a QB the year after if needed.

I'm on board for this now. Whiz has lost this team. Give the defense something to play for the last couple of games.

Fire all offensive coaches at the end of the season.

Get rid of Graves now and let Keim take over for the the remaining of the season.
