Few players on the planet have as much raw talent as Chicago Cubs center fielder Pete Crow-Armstrong. But for as electrifying as PCA is when he's on, mental lapses have kept the 24-year-old from reaching his full potential.

Monday's win over the Colorado Rockies presented a classic example. Crow-Armstrong became the first player in Cubs history to hit for the reverse cycle, as he led the game off with a home run before tripling in the third, doubling in the fifth and singling in the seventh. It was the 13th cycle in franchise history and the crowd at Wrigley Field roared for their star's accomplishment.

The hype was short-lived, however.

Seconds following his cycle-clinching single, before the fans could even sit down from their standing ovation, PCA got picked off at first base. It completely deflated what should've been a huge moment for him and the Cubs. The call from the Cubs' broadcast sells the emotional rollercoaster perfectly.

PCA had the last laugh, as his eighth inning sac fly would eventually help the Cubs win 4-2.

What did Pete Crow-Armstrong say after hitting for cycle?

PCA kept it humble after the win.

“It was cool,” Crow-Armstrong said, per MLB.com. “I'm proud of myself for the work that I've been doing the last few weeks and, really, over the course of the year.”

The Cubs started the season 27-12 before running into some major trouble in May. They're now seven games behind the Milwaukee Brewers in the NL Central, and PCA will be responsible for helping to close the gap.
