NAPPANEE — The Penn girls tennis team cruised to the NorthWood Regional title, beating Northridge, 5-0, in Wednesday's championship match.

The Kingsmen's singles players, Olivia Wu, Samantha Pischalko and Gabriella Roland lost just two games on their way to a sweep of the Raiders.

Despite the loss, Northridge coach Judy Pollock was pleased with her team's effort.

"I couldn't be any prouder of the girls and the fight they put up tonight,'' Pollock said. "They played their hearts out. "We lost 5-0, but the scores from the individual matches doesn't reflect the effort that was put forth by our girls. Penn is just a very good team.''
