ROCHESTER — Let the championship marathon begin.

Hilton and Penfield will meet in the first of four Section V high school softball championship games on Saturday, May 30. Their Class AA1 matchup will precede three others at the same site.

Penfield reached the Class AA1 final by blanking No. 9 Edison, 9-0, in the quarterfinals before outlasting No. 5 Webster Thomas, 8-7, in the semis. Hilton edged No. 6 Spencerport in a 10-9 quarterfinal before defeating No. 7 Victor, 9-8, four days later.

Penfield owns two wins over Hilton this season, defeating the Cadets on April 8 (14-5) and May 4 (2-0). Follow below for updates all game long.

What time is the Penfield vs. Hilton Section V softball championship game?​

Penfield and Hilton are set for a 10 a.m. first pitch at Gates Chili High School.

Where is the Penfield vs. Hilton Section V softball championship game?​

Gates Chili High School, located at 1 Spartan Way, will host the Section V Class AA1 final. Championship games in Class AA2, A and AAA will follow Class AA1.
