Here is the injury report for the game with the Pelicans.

Jalen Green is OUT, although the Suns haven't released an official injury update on him.

l wouldn’t be shocked if he is out double the time. I would imagine they would make sure this time he is not back too early or this could be a season long thing.

It's hard to know how long Green will be out. I'm sure the Suns were cautious and will continue to be so. Hopefully it does not become a career problem.

I think I remember they took extra time with Book with one of his hamstring injuries to be safe.

Obviously, every injury is different and every player is different. There is no guarantee the injury will not reoccur.

By all means, the Suns should be err on the cautious side.

We are not going to see Green for 6-8 weeks. Judging by the fact he needed help walking, it's got to be at least a grade 2 hamstring strain, and that's a minimum of six weeks out. If I were the Suns, I'd give him 6-8 weeks, and then additional two weeks on top of that. There is zero reason to take any risks this season with anyone this season.

They described his first hammy injury as nagging. I wonder if he was still recovering from it. Hammy injuries are tough to gauge.

It is frustrating. He was out long enough it should have healed. I question the training staff and the rehab regimen he was on, his diet a nutrition too.

If he is doing weight training for his legs, it's easy to create an imbalance in strength that leads to injury. He needs to do mild body weight exercises that begin to mimic the types of moves he does on the court. That should also include deceleration drills.

Thinking more in general on the season so far. Anyone really think we would be 5-5 right now after that 1-4 start to the season? Also, we did get a small sample size of Booker and Green. It looked good. After ten games we just have questions on our rookies. We don't know what Maluach, Flemming and Brea are so far, aside from missing in action by Coach Ott.

Hamstring injuries are a widespread thing throughout the league this year. And that kind of injury has steadily got worse and worse. Cam Thomas and Zion both are out with hamstring injuries too. And we all know how annoying they've been in Book's career.

Duane Rankin says Jalen Green is scheduled for an MRI today.

I like what Dillon Brooks said better about his recovery. :wink2:

This has all the makings of a Classic Phoenix Suns trap game. Playing well, 2 game win streak, going up against the worst team in the West. We never deal well with that kind of pedigree.
