Ignited by eight made field goals from Blake Nelson and another high-scoring night, the Trojans cruised by Winlock 72-31 on Tuesday night in Winlock to start the season off with a 4-1 record.

For the second time in as many games, Pe Ell put up at least 70 points and held its opposition to under 30. It was up by 13 after one frame and the margin only got bigger until a running clock took place in the second half.

Nelson pocketed a game-best 25 points and Eli Mason scored 11. The Trojans get a familiar foe in Willapa Valley on Saturday afternoon.

Winlock (2-5) was led by Arean Thapa's 13 points. The Cardinals made just 10 field goals on the night and will try to get back in the win column versus Toutle Lake on Friday night.
