Well, I ran in Pat's Run yesterday in Tempe. I had never competed in a run and the most I can ever recall running at one time was about 1.5 miles. I was hoping to finish the race in 45 minutes, but I did better than that. On the run route, at each mile marker, they had huge pictures of Pat that really kept us runners going. Running onto the field at SDS was pretty awesome, coming up from the North Endzone like the players do. Pretty cool to look around at the stands and imagine what it would be like to play in front of fans. Anyway, below are some pictures I took yesterday. :)

Bib #3911, official time of 35:31

Overall Males: 642 of 1997

26-39: 263 of 815

It was impressive

I ran yesterday... shouldn't have with a fracture in my spine... but hell PT would have done it. I could only run about 2.5 before the numbness set it down my leg, but I walked and jogged the rest to complete in a blazing 49 mins...
It was motivating to see al the supprt and the GI's running with their rucks and their boots...
A great turnout and an impressive setup... get your asses out there next year and get r' done!

Nice pics. That race was such a terrific event. My goal was just to run all the way. I made it and finished in 41.45. It was the first time I've run in anything like that too. Thinking about trying a 10k. Anyhow I hope they do Pat's run every year. I will definetly make it an annual event.

I liked how it was something where people got off their arses and made an effort instead of standing around and talking about what a great guy he was, etc. I think PT would have a lot more use for something like that, that was in the spirit of trying to accomplish something, and was much more of a celebration, than something were everyone stands around and cries and eulogizes the guy. PT didn't seem like a guy that had much use for crying or standing around. It was really a great idea, a cool thing to do for all the ASU and Cards folks and everyone else that admires PT's life and is willing to do something to show it.

Plus he's good with kids...

He's afraid of birds though.

Winner was 21:02, so you might have had a fight to the finish. ;)

Nice job, guys! Wish I could have been there.

I had my friends over Saturday for a 4.2 miler. We walked it, but had a great time. My brother and I wore our Pat Tillman jerseys. Each of my friends wrote a $20 check to the Pat Tillman Foundation and I provided the Guinness and pizza afterward. We toasted Pat and had a great day.
