New England Patriots wideout Demario Douglas believes three-time All-Pro wide receiver A.J. Brown will make life easier for the team in games.

He has already seen flashes of the impact Brown can have on the practice field.

The former Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver caught a couple of back-shoulder passes from quarterback Drake Maye during the competitive 11-on-11 periods at mandatory minicamp on Tuesday. One of those passes went for a touchdown. Douglas said it has felt like Brown has been with the team "since the start [of the offseason]," via Boston Herald's Andrew Callahan.

“Hopefully everybody double-teams him," said Douglas.

Douglas recorded 31 catches for 447 yards and three touchdowns last season.

The extra attention being paid to Brown and Romeo Doubs could open up more opportunities for him to impact games in 2026. Douglas has been one of the more underrated players on the roster for a while, and he could be on the verge of a breakout season.

The timing would be perfect with him entering the final year of his rookie contract.
