New England Patriots star wide receiver A.J. Brown got the chance to address the bold eight-worded message that he signed on his Pro Bowl photo for the 2025 season on the Philadelphia Eagles’ facility wall before leaving for his new team.

According to Fox29 Philadelphia’s Jeff Skversky, Brown took a forward-thinking approach when asked about the rumored message he wrote at the team’s final mandatory minicamp practice on Thursday.

”I’m not going to answer that,” Brown said. “I appreciated my time in Philly. I’m where my feet are. So, that’s the only thing that matters.”

The signed picture reportedly read “The best to ever play here, always open," per NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo. Brown helped lead the Eagles to a Super Bowl victory at the end of the 2024 season and earned three second-team All-Pro nods with the team.

Despite not having the most eventful split from the Eagles this offseason, the Mississippi native is focused on the season ahead with the Patriots.
