Patriots Super Bowl injury updates: Will Drake Maye, Harold Landry, Robert Spillane play? originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.

The New England Patriots had multiple injury concerns going into this week, with the team monitoring the statuses of quarterback Drake Maye, outside linebacker Harold Landry and linebacker Robert Spillane.

Those players were on the Super Bowl injury report this past week. Maye has been dealing with a right shoulder injury, while Landry is battling a knee injury and Spillane has an ankle issue.

Of those three, Landry was the only one who didn't play in the AFC Championship Game versus the Denver Broncos, but Spillane did exit that game early due to his injury.

With the Super Bowl LX matchup against the Seattle Seahawks just hours away as of this writing, here's a look at the latest injury updates on Maye, Landry and Spillane.

Is Drake Maye playing today?

Yes, Maye will definitely suit up on Sunday.

After some concerns over his shoulder, Maye was able to practice in full this past week and has been completely removed from the injury report, so he's good to go.

Based on what he said during the week, it doesn't look like Maye's injury will hamper him in this game.

"I'm really excited. A chance to play in this game is a dream come true, and what you work for all year long," he said during the week. "Like I said, I'm not trying to lie to you guys when I say I'm feeling great. You know, I'm feeling great. I'm looking forward to get out there."

Is Robert Spillane playing today?

Yes, Spillane is expected to suit up.

Spillane started off the week as a non-participant in practice before turning in two limited sessions and drawing a questionable tag.

While head coach Mike Vrabel wasn't ready to commit to Spillane playing, the veteran linebacker and defensive leader said he "100%" expects to play.

It goes without saying how important Spillane is to the defense. Not only is he a good player, he's also a team captain and wears the green dot.

Harold Landry injury update

As is the case with Spillane, Landry is indeed expected to overcome the questionable tag.

Landry turned in two limited practices during the week and sat out one before drawing a questionable tag. Landry's "DNP" was sandwiched in between the limited sessions.

The two limited practices were a step up for Landry after he didn't practice at all before being ruled out for the AFC title game two weeks ago.

Landry, who has been dealing with his knee issue since all the way back in Week 6, has said he expects to play in the Super Bowl and believes he can still help the Patriots, even though he isn't 100%.

“I’m pretty confident that I can help the team in any way they need me to do it,” he said. “It’s been tough all year being in and out, trying to play through what I have going on.”

Despite battling a knee issue for much of the season, Landry finished with the team lead in sacks during the regular season with 8.5.

New England needs its pass-rush at its best to counter a very good Seahawks passing attack, which makes Landry's status crucial.
