Fourth-year defensive tackle Cory Durden had a confident reaction when the dust settled from star wide receiver A.J. Brown being traded to the New England Patriots.

"We just got a whole lot better," Durden posted on X.

It's hard to argue with the Patriots' defender considering that the team also signed Romeo Doubs in free agency. The combination of Brown and Doubs on the field, along with the many other receiving talents on the roster, will give third-year quarterback Drake Maye more weapons than he's ever had on offense.

On paper, it looks like a completely different offense than the one that struggled throughout the playoffs and at Super Bowl LX last season.

The Patriots' offense teased elite status last season with Maye finishing the year second behind Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford as the NFL MVP.

One can only imagine the leap the team could potentially make in 2026 with Brown and Doubs on the field. An elite offense combined with New England's already elite defense will make them a tough team to beat, regardless of the schedule difficulty.
