Patriots' Eliot Wolf provides important update on Morgan Moses future

FOXBOROUGH, Mass — Despite the strong performance by veteran right tackle Morgan Moses last season, he is 35 years old, having just finished his 12th year in the league.

So with that, it calls into question how much longer he will continue to play, which is why offensive tackle depth is such a big need entering the 2026 NFL Draft.

However, as it concerns the 2026 season, Patriots de facto general manager Eliot Wolf made it clear that they are under the impression that Moses will be returning for his 13th year.

"That's our expectation," Wolf said. "I texted Morgan probably closer to the combine just saying hi, but I know coach Vrabel is in contact with him, and no indication that he's looking to move. And I think he's excited about coming back up here and getting started."

But they will have to plan for the future at the right tackle position, and it helps that they have 11 picks in this year's draft to help them address that.
