With the 2025 NFL draft arriving, the New England Patriots will embark on their second rebuilding expedition since last year's split with legendary coach Bill Belichick.

Following the short-lived Jerod Mayo era, Mike Vrabel has stepped up as head coach for a Patriots team that has finished their last two seasons with a 4-13 record. Vrabel was aggressive in free agency, loading up defensively and adding a couple of noteworthy pieces on offense.

There's hope those efforts will continue for all seven rounds of the draft. The Patriots must leave no stone unturned in their attempt to stockpile talent and get the team back to a competitive state. They already have a player many view as a franchise quarterback in Drake Maye.

Now, the objective should be surrounding him with talent and seeing how far the team can go. We'll be posting live updates on the draft picks on Patriots Wire. So be sure to check back in for updates as the picks come in.

Patriots 2025 draft order

  • Round 1, Pick 4
  • Round 2, Pick 38
  • Round 3, Pick 69
  • Round 3, Pick 77 (via Atlanta)
  • Round 4, Pick 106
  • Round 5, Pick 144
  • Round 5, Pick 171 (via Dallas)
  • Round 7, Pick 220
  • Round 7, Pick 238 (via Chargers)

Biggest team needs

  • Offensive tackle - This has been one of the biggest trouble spots in New England for years. It doesn't matter what weapons they have at receiver if they can't protect the quarterback.
  • Wide receiver - The Patriots signing four-time Pro Bowl wideout Stefon Diggs in the offseason was a big move. But it isn't enough. They still need a big-bodied receiving target with youth and upside to play opposite of Diggs.
  • Edge rusher - The defensive line is even scarier with Milton Williams joining the unit in free agency. But the Patriots still need a dominant edge rusher to help strike fear into the hearts of opposing quarterbacks.
